Cat hospital day

I have decided to take my cats back to Taiwan with me, even though they have to go through tons of brutal steps. From taking shots, doing blood tests, to flying on the airplane.

So first thing's first. We took them for the rabies vaccination and microchips.

waiting...they were so grumpy and not happy about it.

Pocky cried after he finished his exam. Totally broke our hearts :(


Doctor said Pocky was being a good boy! Good job Pocky :) you're so brave!


Migo was so mad and was not nice to the doctor. Bad temper!

She was so scared :( we were trying to cool her down.

Baan Wasana Thai Restaurant‎

Jessie and Sherry are two of my closest friends from UBC, and also 2 of the few people who are still living in Vancouver after we all graduated. Since they don't have to teach on Friday morning (and I'm basically free everyday), we went to a Thai restaurant that Sherry recommended calls Baan Wasana Thai Restaurant‎

For lunch, the price is around $10 after tax and tips, and every meal includes either a salad or a soup.

我常跟人家說 當你沒準備好 別隨隨變變念個master

因為我就是個好例子 

兩年前根本心態上還是個孩子

所以那兩年念master根本就不知道如何去面對壓力

到最後畢業後也一無所有

畢業後很開心 卻心有不甘 

總覺得有些unfinished business要做

我也不知到當初哪來的勇氣 哪來的毅力

每天9 hours工作後 馬不停蹄又跑回學校practice

不知渡過多少晚半夜從UBC開車

拖著半條命快沒的身子回到家 興奮的跳在期待一整天的床

但躺下後 卻又因為壓力 怎麼睡也睡不著

到最後 大概從去年11月多開始吧

我每天無時無刻都在頭暈

但每天還是在催眠自己 再撐幾個月就沒事了

就這樣子暈了3個多月 

就這樣過了這種生活過了快十個月 

現在 有點不可思議 也有點得來不易

當然 這一切 也更要謝謝你

謝謝你在我chicken out的時候叫我不要放棄

謝謝你在下大雪天還開車帶我去do my recordings

謝謝你每次都幫我早想一步

謝謝你放慢了我的腳步

謝謝你永遠在鼓勵我

謝謝你支持我每一個決定

Thomas Haas

My chicken, rabbit and I went to Thomas Haas the other day for sweet little afternoon sweets, a famous desserts shop in North Vancouver. It locates behind the North Van auto mall, and right across from the private school. (Sorry I totally forgot the name of the school, but there is only one school behind the automall)
We ordered 3 cups of coffee, one berry cheesecake, and one tiramisu (I think..)

2nd language?

一隻母老鼠帶著幾隻小老鼠在草地裡漫步，突然來了一隻貓。
小老鼠嚇得全都躲了起來，祇有母老鼠沉著冷靜，沒有躲開。
遠看貓越走越近，小老鼠們非常害怕，就在這時，母老鼠「汪、汪」一聲 ，貓不知其中有詐，調頭跑了。
等貓跑遠了，小老鼠一個個膽顫心驚地走出來，望著它們的媽媽。
等所有的小老鼠都到齊了，母老鼠才語重心長地說：


『孩子們，現在知道學外語的重要性了嗎？』

Recently Mac has released a new product calls "iCat Connection". You can simply connect two MacBooks by placing the iCat in between without plugging any wire into your MacBook. 

Since the iCat does not contain any battery, remember to charge it by letting it resting on your MacBook!

I have named my iCat "Pocky". What about yours?

Oyako-Don & Veggie rice in soup

That day I made a Oyako-Don, but I only had one egg left in the fridge. So the rice wasn't fully covered by the egg :(


and I also made a vegetarian dish for myself - veggie rice in soup (菜泡飯)


Lately I've been watching Planet Earth, a documentary film that was made by BBC. LOVE IT! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!



Yes, that's Migo watching the film. The blurry subject in the TV is a bird. She loves this film too. Every time I watch it, she would sit in front of the TV and watch it with me.

My first cook show

WHAT! Min cooks?

Yes my dear, that is what I've been doing since I came back from Macau. But I'm still a beginner, so please don't laugh and show me some supports :)

That night I decided to make Asian style curry, so I went to H-mart (The Korean supermarket around my place) to buy a small pack of Japanese Glico Curry. I only bought one small pack because I thought there is no point to cook a big pot if I'm only cooking for myself. I guess, as I said, I'm still a beginner at cooking. So my curry turned out to be a very interesting dish.

WHAT THE! CURRY SOUP? HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?

I was so sad. I started whining and yelling at the curry in the kitchen. Then rabbit heard my whining and walked to the kitchen. He patted me, saw the disaster, and said " Don't worry, I'll go to H-mart and buy another 2 packs of curry for you ok!"

What a nice rabbit, you deserve to have some carrots in the curry :)

So here it is, after adding another 2 packs of curry, Min's curry was finally completed.


With the miso soup that I made the night before. YUM!
